This silvered metal (probably bronze) medal is by the French sculptor and medallist Georges Contaux (1891-1984). The obverse depicts a woman wearing wings flying amidst clouds. It is signed "Contaux". The reverse has a wreath of laurel and oak leaves with a blank cartouche. A fantastic image on the obverse.
